The PlayStation 5 Pro came out of the gate earlier this month with its $700 price tag and a list of PS5 Pro-enhanced game that was supposed to offer early adapters a peak gaming experience. However, players soon reported that Silent Hill 2, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, and other games actually looked worse on PS5 Pro. Now, Konami and developer Bloober Team have addressed the issues on a new patch for Silent Hill 2.
Silent Hill 2’s 1.06 patch wasn’t just created for the PS5 Pro problems. It’s also adjusting and fixing a few issues with the PC version on Steam, but the PS5 Pro fixes are the highlight here. Prior to this update, Silent Hill 2 players on PS5 Pro noticed a number of glitches and visual distortions that weren’t happening to the game on standard PlayStation 5 consoles.
Ironically, this is not the first time a Silent Hill 2 update has led to more problems than fixes. Silent Hill 2’s 1.04 patch was intended to improve the game’s performance on Steam and cut down on …

According to AEW’s statement, the decision was made following consultation with the AEW Discipline Committee and external legal counsel, who unanimously recommended that CM Punk should be terminated with cause.

Boat Rocker and Bay Mills Studios have announced a collaboration to produce a brand new television series based on the beloved characters of A.A. Milne’s Winnie the Pooh. Titled Christopher Robin, the show is set to be an R-rated comedy reimagining of the classic story, with a live-action/animation hybrid format. Deadline was first to report.
The logline reads: “Christopher Robin is a disillusioned New Yorker navigating his quarter-life crisis with the help of the weird talking animals who live beyond a drug-induced portal outside his derelict apartment complex, the Hundred Acres.”
The series is based on an original script from Charlie Kesslering (Most Likely To, Turned On), who will also serve as executive producer. Conrad Vernon, who has worked on popular animated films such as Shrek 2 and Sausage Party, is set to direct the pilot episode and executive produce.

If you’ve felt player rewards have been lacking in Helldivers 2 after finishing a mission, it’s not just you. Developer Arrowhead is aware of the problem and continues to work on a fix. In the meantime, the game will grant extra bonuses to all players during the weekend.
In a message shared on Twitter, deputy game director Sagar Beroshi said that players will receive XP and Requisition at a 50% multiplier on top of the base mission score. To make sure you’re actually getting said bonus, you should be able to see a Game Master Effect labeled “Accounting Corrections” while on the Super Destroyer.

Quentin Tarantino fans will soon be able to own one of the filmmaker’s best movies on 4K UHD Blu-ray. Inglourious Basterds, the bonkers 2009 war movie, releases on 4K Blu-ray on October 12. Preorders aren’t yet live, but this edition will also come with a Blu-ray disc and digital edition that can be redeemed on the Movies Anywhere platform.
At this time, it’s unclear if there will be any special editions of the 4K Blu-ray. Best Buy routinely has exclusive steelbook editions for many films, so it’s certainly worth keeping an eye on if you collect Tarantino films. The 4K Blu-ray will come with a bevy of special features clocking in at more than two hours of bonus content.
Inglourious Basterds 4K Blu-ray special features
- Extended and alternate scenes

- The Making of Nation’s Pride

Meet Karby. No, it’s not Kirby’s cousin from New Jersey, but instead a typo of the pink puffball’s name that got put on a hoodie in Japan. The typo has led to a recall for the pink apparel that sports Kirby’s face on the front and (wrong) name on the top of the hood.
Automaton spotted that Japanese clothing store Shimamura posted about the issue on X. The shop is reportedly offering refunds or exchanges for the Kirby typo on the hoodie for kids, though some commenters believe the misspelling could make the sweatshirt a collector’s item. Automaton adds the mistake isn’t actually that surprising, since Kirby in Japanese sounds more like Karby.

The upcoming Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic remake for PlayStation 5 and PC has shifted developers, from Aspyr Media to Saber Interactive, according to a new report.
This was previously rumored, but Bloomberg reported that it is indeed true. During its earnings briefing recently, Embracer Group–which owns Aspyr and Saber–said one of its AAA games had changed developers, but did not name the project outright. Many believed it was the KOTOR remake.

Developer Monogon Games describes Interloper as a real-time strategy game with five-minute matches, but I would call it an RTS for people who hate the genre. This quirky example features all of the catchy conquering, tactical thinking, and fast-paced combat of the average real-time strategy game without being burdened by the base building, resource management, and game duration that scare off some of the potential audience. Toss in puzzle-like maps, an unusual setting, and faintly surreal visuals and sound, and you have a pick-up-and-play RTS for the masses that even genre veterans can appreciate for its innovations and challenge.
Simplicity is Interloper’s greatest asset. This is a two-player game in which you battle the AI or an online human opponent on small and slightly-less-small maps that never feature more than a handful of key assets to claim. The main unit is a Sentinel, a big mama that looks like a manta ray or some kind of microscopic bug, depending on w…
Lost Ark’s Battle For the Throne of Chaos update arrives today, and it’s the biggest update to Smilegate RPG and Amazon’s free-to-play MMORPG yet, adding a new class, a battle pass, a new continent, numerous quality-of-life updates, and more.
As detailed in the official patch notes, the new martial artist advanced class, the Glaivier, is the highlight. It’s the first new class added to the Western version of Lost Ark since release. Wielding both a spear and a glaive, the Glaivier can swap between the two weapons with the press of a button, and each weapon has its own unique abilities and strengths. The glaive excels at clearing out huge groups of enemies, while the spear is ideal for poking down bosses.
