Silent Hill 2's Latest Patch Addresses PS5 Pro Performance Issues

The PlayStation 5 Pro came out of the gate earlier this month with its $700 price tag and a list of PS5 Pro-enhanced game that was supposed to offer early adapters a peak gaming experience. However, players soon reported that Silent Hill 2, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, and other games actually looked worse on PS5 Pro. Now, Konami and developer Bloober Team have addressed the issues on a new patch for Silent Hill 2.

Silent Hill 2’s 1.06 patch wasn’t just created for the PS5 Pro problems. It’s also adjusting and fixing a few issues with the PC version on Steam, but the PS5 Pro fixes are the highlight here. Prior to this update, Silent Hill 2 players on PS5 Pro noticed a number of glitches and visual distortions that weren’t happening to the game on standard PlayStation 5 consoles.

CM Punk Fired By AEW Ahead Of All Out Pay-Per-View

All Elite Wrestling has announced that it has terminated its contract with wrestler CM Punk, AKA Phillip Brooks, effective immediately. The decision was made after an internal investigation into a backstage incident that occurred involving Punk at AEW All In London on August 27.

“Phil played an important role within AEW and I thank him for his contributions,” said CEO Tony Khan in a statement where he took responsibility for the termination. “I am making the decision in the best interests of the many amazing people who make AEW possible every week–our talent, staff, venue operators and many others whose efforts are unsung but essential to bringing our fans great shows on television and at arenas and stadiums throughout the world.”

According to AEW’s statement, the decision was made following consultation with the AEW Discipline Committee and external legal counsel, who unanimously recommended that CM Punk should be terminated with cause.

Christopher Robin Stars In R-Rated Winnie The Pooh TV Series

Boat Rocker and Bay Mills Studios have announced a collaboration to produce a brand new television series based on the beloved characters of A.A. Milne’s Winnie the Pooh. Titled Christopher Robin, the show is set to be an R-rated comedy reimagining of the classic story, with a live-action/animation hybrid format. Deadline was first to report.

The logline reads: “Christopher Robin is a disillusioned New Yorker navigating his quarter-life crisis with the help of the weird talking animals who live beyond a drug-induced portal outside his derelict apartment complex, the Hundred Acres.”

The series is based on an original script from Charlie Kesslering (Most Likely To, Turned On), who will also serve as executive producer. Conrad Vernon, who has worked on popular animated films such as Shrek 2 and Sausage Party, is set to direct the pilot episode and executive produce.
